Adebayo Adeleke, best known by his stage name B-Red, a Nigerian singer, claims that it was he who suggested to his cousin Davido to pursue a musical career.

He made the assertion while a guest on the most recent episode of Quincy Jonze’s podcast, Echoo Room.

The ‘Cucumber’ singer claimed that he encouraged Davido to start singing because he was “too good.”

“He [Davido] was so good,” he exclaimed. David needs to start singing, so I’ll say that first.

“Congratulations to my cousin M-Pizzy, who is still an excellent artist. First, we began shoving M-Pizzy. Therefore, I told David one day that while M-Pizzy is good, you too are good, so start singing na. David was always providing backing vocals.

“Are you serious, David questioned? Yes, I replied. He then began singing. So, M-Pizzy, my cousin, was the one who truly led the way. Also, shoutout to M-Pizzy.

B-Red also described how he and Davido sold 20 televisions at his father’s home during the show.

He claimed that during the Mo’hits era, he and his brother Sina Rambo also served as Don Jazzy and D’banj’s personal aides.
