Delta: EFCC arrests Yahoo boy in his hotel over alleged $268,000 fraud

Precious Ojo, alias Obago, a suspected online fraudster, has been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The 26-year-old was detained in Oghara, Delta State, as a result of a petition against his actions that was received from an American citizen.

On Wednesday, Wilson Uwujaren, the EFCC’s head of media and publicity, released a statement regarding the investigation.

The petitioner claimed that the suspect defrauded the victim of $268,000 by pretending to be Raymond Bush, a worker at the US Treasury.

Ojo, who was detained at his hotel in Oghara, admitted that the money from the suspected crime was used to build the building.

He was also found to have mobile phones and a white Mercedes-Benz with a personalized license plate.

The culprit will shortly appear in court, the EFCC official continued.
