Ekiti: Oyebanji wife seeks improved attention on basic education
All economic sectors’ progress and socioeconomic growth continue to be driven by education, thus it should receive the unique attention it deserves.
Olayemi Oyebanji, the governor of Ekiti State’s wife, made this announcement at a conference for training education secretaries and head teachers that was put on by the State Universal Basic Education Board at iIdo-Ekiti.
Oyebanji called on education secretaries overseeing the operations of basic schools to be well-equipped for the duty of guaranteeing effective delivery of high-quality teaching and learning processes. He added that basic education served as the foundation upon which other levels of education relied.
She urged the participants to regularly engage in peer review so that ideas might cross-pollinate and experiences could be shared.
“I want to make a request to you to put in place efficient mechanisms for the Local Government Education Authorities to provide regular feedback to SUBEB through report writing and scheduled meetings with the board.”
