EPL: It is true – Pochettino names player Chelsea missed against Liverpool
Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, identified Christopher Nkunku as the Blues player his team missed against Liverpool.
Pochettino talked following Sunday’s 1-1 Premier League match between Chelsea and Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
Remember that Nkunku missed the game because of an injury he had this summer before the start of the current Premier League season.
“It’s true that we miss a player like [Christopher] Nkunku who was perfect in combination with him [Jackson],” Pochettino remarked in a post-game interview with Sky Sports. In the preseason, they were performing quite well.
“We need to adapt,” he continued. “The original goal was to play [Nkunku] with [Jackson].
“These things happen in football, and we need to always be positive.”
Chelsea is now ranked 10th in the Premier League table as a result of the outcome versus Liverpool.
The next Premier League contest for Pochettino’s team will be against West Ham United.
