Iyanya, a Nigerian artist, has admitted that he received numerous threats when his ex-girlfriend in Ghana, actress Yvonne Nelson, claimed that her breakup with him was due to his adultery.
According to DAILY POST, Yvonne stated in her book “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson” that her romance with Iyanya ended when she learned that the singer was having an extramarital affair with Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh.
Iyanya claimed in a recent interview with GHOne TV that Yvonne’s accusations caused him to get threats and cost him approximately 10,000 Ghanaian fans.
When Yvonne [Nelson] claimed that I had broken her heart, he claimed, “I was in my room and I had just seen a post that read, ‘Iyanya Cheated on Me.'”
When I checked my Twitter account that day, I noticed that I had lost approximately 10,000 Ghanaian followers. And I was receiving threats and other things.
Iyanya said that his tweet announcing that he will share his perspective on what caused their breakup was only a brief outburst.
He claimed he dislikes discussing his ex’s faults.
