Popular Nigerian artist Skibii has described how the announcement of his death sparked the beginning of his career.
According to DAILY POST, Skibii reportedly collapsed and passed away in August 2015.
The musician revealed that he was battling an ailment that frequently caused him to pass out when speaking about the circumstances around the rumors.
In a widely shared conversation online, he revealed that in addition to surviving the hardship, he also overcame Falz’s blistering criticism in one of his songs and praise from artists like Davido and Wizkid.
“Perhaps a lot of people have forgotten; I began my career with the news of Skibii’s passing. Skibii pretended to be dead.
“At the time, I experienced the same problem with blackouts. I experienced that around twice. I to the restroom on the flight to South Africa, and when I came back, I fell. Before we could take off that day, they had to turn off the aircraft and take care of me.
“Kaycee’s home was where the second one was. Consequently, this one occurred while I was visiting my brother. I tripped on the way out, and as soon as they saw me being rushed into the car, they began to spread the word that I had passed away.
“Before I knew it, Wizkid posted a’rest in peace’ message on his Facebook, along with Davido and others, when I unlocked my phone at the hospital.
“I had to receive therapy in America. Currently, there are some foods that I cannot consume, including pineapple, lime, and others.
