I wanted to be a lawyer, destiny took me to acting – Actress, Ini Edo

Actress Iniobong Edo of Nollywood has disclosed that her childhood ambitions were to become a newscaster or a lawyer.

She cited the late broadcaster Tokunbo Ajayi as her inspiration.

This information was provided by Ini Edo in a recent interview with well-known media figure Chude Jideonwo.

I wanted to be a newscaster or a lawyer, she declared. The late Tokunbo Ajayi served as my inspiration. I have always like watching her news. I truly wanted to be like that. I never truly considered becoming a professional actress.

“You know, I’ve always been involved in the arts in church and in school. But while I was waiting for my JAMB to attend to law school, I decided to pursue a diploma in theater arts. I then began performing on stage. When the chance to see the movie presented itself, I instantly started acting. It had to happen.

The actress claimed that her family didn’t at first accept her decision to pursue acting.

She claimed that a film director named Ikenna Igwe visited her home and persuaded her parents to allow her work on the project.
