Ifedayo Olarinde, aka Daddy Freeze, a Nigerian media personality, recently claimed that Nigerians who have less than N500,000 in their accounts are living below poverty. The OAP said only those who live in villages will be comfortable having less than N500,000 in their accounts.
If someone has less than N500,000 in their accounts, he argued, they will always have a low level of living.
If you don’t have N500k in cash in all of your accounts combined, he declared, you are poor unless you reside in a village. You will lead a poor existence if you reside in Port Harcourt, Lagos, or Abuja and have less than N500k.
