Famous Nigerian artist Charles Oputa, often known as Charly Boy, claims that judges all around the country have received orders not to consider any litigation challenging Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inauguration on May 29.
According to the DAILY POST, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has filed a lawsuit contesting the nomination of the vice president-elect, Kashim Shettima, and the Supreme Court set Friday (today) for its decision.
However, Charly Boy claimed on Friday morning that there are plans to overturn the ruling.
The actor expressed regret in a tweet posted on his official account and claimed that the action will endanger the nation’s democracy.
He stated in his letter, “We have just learned that all judges countrywide have been instructed not to consider any lawsuits challenging Bola Tinubu’s inauguration on May 29, 2023.
“This appears to be the end of Nigeria’s democratic system; it is a very sad moment.”
