While in her second grade, Cooks was declared legally blind due to severe astigmatism she had but had to wear contacts and thick glasses to help aid her vision. By 2007, she had surgery that significantly improved her vision.

Nathan was born in the United States of America on the 25th of May, 1978 into an American family. Nathan has a brother named Wesley Anderson with whom he set up and runs the Walter Sky clothing line. From there, they bonded well and overtime, their relationship become stronger when AJ relocated fully to Salt Lake City. On the 3rd of August 2001, the duo got marrraisingd have been together since then raisng thnotinghildren together.

It is worthy to note that there has not been any controversy between the couple, instead they have been through various trials and triumphed together.
