Seun Kuti: Police now understand how it feels to be brutalized, humiliated – Macaroni
Actor and activist Adebowale Debo Adedayo, better known by his stage name Mr. Macaroni, has responded to Seun Kuti’s arrest by the Nigerian police.
On his Twitter feed, Macaroni denounced Kuti’s assault on the police officer.
He claimed that the nation’s security personnel now understand what it’s like to be attacked and persecuted.
However, Macaroni urged that in their pursuit of justice, Seun Kuti’s rights be upheld.
“I adore how the Nigeria Police is moving swiftly to bring the attacker to justice. I hope that the same quickness is used when the Nigerian Police are abusing and harassing citizens.
“While I vehemently oppose assaults on police personnel, I also strongly abhor any abuse of Seun Kuti.

Kuti was granted bail by the Yaba Magistrate Court on Tuesday and was instructed to provide two sureties who are owners of landed estates in Lagos State.
Additionally, Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun directed the police to wrap up their inquiry in 48 hours.
