Total madness – Singer, Peter Okoye reacts as ECOWAS orders standby force against Niger junta

Peter Okoye, nicknamed Mr P, a Grammy-winning Nigerian artist and one-half of the P-Square group, has called the ECOWAS’ decision to employ its standby force to restore constitutional order in the Republic of Niger “total madness.”

Omar Alieu Touray, the president of ECOWAS, read out the resolution from the subregional body’s emergency meeting on Thursday in Abuja, according to DAILY POST, and then delivered the order.

Through his verified Twitter account, Mr. P responded by accusing the West African group of siding with the West against other Africans.
