Transfer: Pochettino looking to sell 6 Chelsea players after 1-1 draw with Liverpool
Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Chelsea, wants to get rid of six more players before the transfer season shuts in a few weeks.
Moises Caicedo, Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku, Axel Disasi, Robert Sanchez, and Lesley Ugochukwu were all signed by the Blues this summer.
Romeo Lavia of Southampton has been acquired by the Stamford Bridge team for a price that also activates Michael Olise’s Crystal Palace release clause.
The following players have already departed the team: Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic, N’Golo Kante, Kalidou Koulibaly, Mateo Kovacic, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Cesar Azpilicueta, and Mason Mount.
Six players are still on the transfer list, however, the Evening Standard reports.
If a respectable offer is made by a potential suitor, Conor Gallagher, Trevoh Chalobah, Ian Maatsen, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Romelu Lukaku, and Hakim Ziyech are all thought to be transferable.
Sunday’s 1-1 tie with Liverpool saw Gallagher start and Maatsen enter the game in the second half. However, Pochettino would be open to letting them go.
Ziyech, Hudson-Odoi, and Lukaku have not been assigned squad numbers.
