Rita Chikwelu, a midfielder for the Super Falcons, has joined Al Shabab FC Women in Saudi Arabia.
Chikwelu joined the White Lions of Levante Las Planas, an Iberdrola team from Spain.
Prior to this, the 35-year-old played for teams in Sweden and Finland.
Chikwelu’s playing career began with the Nigerian team Akwa Starlets.
The player has scored 15 goals in 33 appearances for Nigeria.
She was left off the Super Falcons roster for the Australia and New Zealand-hosted FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2023.
