The Governing Council of Osun State University, UNIOSUN, has been dissolved with the approval of Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State.
According to information collected by DAILY POST, the Governing Board has been dissolved immediately.
The announcement of the dissolution was made in a statement dated May 19, 2023, and signed by Samuel Ayanleye Aina, Head of Service for Osun State. The statement was received by DAILY POST on May 20, 2023, in Osogbo.
The state government expressed appreciation for the council members’ unselfish devotion and dedication to the advancement of the university in the statement.
The dissolution of the Osun State University Governing Council has been accepted with immediate effect by Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, according to the announcement.
The Governor expresses gratitude to the council members for their selfless devotion and dedication to the university while also praising them greatly for their contributions to the growth of the university in particular and the state generally. He also wishes them luck in their future endeavors.
