President Bola Tinubu has been forewarned against assaulting the Niger Republic by Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, the leader of the Nigerian Islamic Movement.
El-Zakzaky claimed that France and the US were attempting to attack the Niger Republic through Nigeria.
According to history, Tinubu should realize that Nigeria and the Niger Republic are one, he said, adding that this action was astonishing.
He emphasized that Tinubu should rethink his criticism on the Niger Republic.
El-Zakzaky detailed the two countries’ shared history in a statement he signed.
“Suddenly, France and the US want to use Nigeria to attack Niger,” he claimed.
“Given that Nigeria and Niger are two nations with one people, this is really astonishing.
The nations of Niger and Nigeria were formed from the remnants of such empires.
Tuesday saw the latest diplomatic delegation from African nations rejected by the junta in Niger.
