UTME score: Provide Mmesoma paper for external body to remark – Charly Boy to JAMB
Charles Oputa, well known by his stage name Charly Boy, a well-known Nigerian performer and social activist, has weighed in on the debate surrounding Mmesoma Ejikeme, an Anambra student, and her UTME score.
According to the DAILY POST, Mmesoma, who had previously claimed to have received the highest score—362—in the 2023 UTME, was later charged with forgery by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, or JAMB.
However, Mmesoma expressed amazement that a result she printed out from the JAMB webpage could be labeled as fake by the examination board without due inquiry in a viral video she appeared in on Monday.
She angrily refuted the claim, claiming that she is incapable of influencing her own outcome.
In response, Charly Boy expressed doubt over the assertion made by JAMB on Monday night via his Twitter account.
He requested that the board provide Mmesoma’s exam results so that an outside organization could comment on them.
“JAMB must produce her paper for an outside body to comment,” he wrote. I don’t believe the grade they say they gave her at this time.
“JAMB made the young girl famous in the end, and the girl on the other hand exposed JAMB corruption & incompetence just like INEC.”
