We will partner with NAPTIP in fight against women, child trafficking – Osun governors wife

Ngozi Adeleke, the governor of Osun State’s wife, has stated her willingness to collaborate with NAPTIP.

During the NAPTIP Zonal Director Effeh P. Ekrika’s visit on Tuesday, Adeleke made this known.

Adeleke, who advocated for justice and equity as the guiding principles, declared her commitment to the fight against the trafficking of women and children.

She said that she had heard a while back that some women had been rescued from Libya, but to her shock, Osun had the highest number of them of any state in the nation.

“I was touched by the development and it frightened me.

“I’m going to work with NAPTIP. I can promise that my office is open and that I will do all in my power to put an end to the trafficking.

“I also guarantee that the governor will be informed about the most recent development.

“Seeing women being trafficked and the deception of young girls being exploited as beggars or as prostitutes breaks my heart.

“The horrific acts of trafficking in women and children would have to end.

She stated, “My office would promote the advocacy and we will work with NAPTIP.”

In his remarks, the NAPTIP zonal director stated that the organization is working in collaboration with the security services to put an end to the trafficking of women and children.
