Wizkid becomes first African artiste to headline UK biggest festival, Glastonbury [Video]
Ayodeji Balogun, aka Wizkid, a Grammy-winning Nigerian music artist, became the first African artist to perform as the headlining act at Glastonbury, the largest music festival in the United Kingdom, on Friday night.
The event, which took place in Somerset, England, featured the “Other Side Stage” as its headlining act.
There were over 210,000 people at the festival.
Wizkid played a combination of his popular songs, including “Essence,” “One Dance,” “Ojuelegba,” “Soco,” and “True Love.”
The famed Glastonbury Festival featured Burna Boy’s performance last year, although he wasn’t the festival’s headlining act, according to DAILY POST.
