Popular Nigerian artist Nonso Amadi has claimed that he doesn’t create the same type of music as Burna Boy and Wizkid.
He claims that despite being inspired by them, neither they nor any other Nigerian musician can create music like his.
In the most recent episode of the Shopsydoo-hosted Afrobeats Podcast, he made this claim.
“I am not making the same music as Burna Boy and Wizkid and others,” the singer of “Tonight” declared. I’m producing songs I adore. Although they inspire and encourage me, anyone may be a Nonso Amadi.
He added that he has been developing his own distinctive musical style and personality and that he is not attempting to be a carbon copy of any famous artist.
He cautioned aspiring artists to avoid copying others and emphasized the need for originality.
