Yvonne Nelson: Why I am yet to tell my side of the story — Iyanya

Iyanya, a Nigerian artist, has explained why he hasn’t yet responded adequately to the accusations made by Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson in her most recent book.

In the book, the actress alleged that Iyanya betrayed her while they were dating by having an affair with Tonto Dikeh.

The singer of “Kukere” claimed that if he gave his own account of the events, many people would criticize him.

But despite the criticism his response would receive, he insisted that he would soon give his side of the tale.

The musician posted on his Twitter account on Wednesday, asking, “Y’all waiting for my side of the story? I’ll be charged with kissing and telling, sluts shaming, etc. if I speak now.

However, something must come, so be patient.

In response to Yvonne Nelson’s allegations that he drove her to the clinic to abort the baby after impregnating her in 2010, Ghanaian musician Sarkodie released a new song titled “Try Me” in the hours before Iyanya’s tweet.

The rapper refuted the claims in the song, claiming that while he opposed Yvonne Nelson’s decision to abort the pregnancy, she insisted that she couldn’t retain it because she was enrolled in school.

Sarkodie acknowledged that he wasn’t prepared to be a father at the time, but he also said that he had begged the actress to carry the child.
