Zamfara presents 17 S-PPEs to security agencies

Some security agencies have received donations of S-PPE from the Zamfara State Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development.

This was revealed in a press release that was delivered to journalists in Gusau, the state capital, and signed by Bashir Kabiru Ahmad, the ministry’s director of information.

As the commissioner of the ministry, Fa’ika Ahmed, handed over the items to the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Zamfara State, he explained that the gesture was made to assist the security organizations in carrying out their legal obligations to combat crime.

The commissioner explained that the 17 S-PPE devices were gifts to the Zamfara State government from the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency NIMASA, and emphasized that they were intended to combat criminal activities in the local communities.

She asked the security organizations chosen for the gesture to ensure proper equipment use for the protection of citizen lives and property.

The equipment consists of, among other things, security vests, handcuffs, security boots, tear gas, way radios, hand-head metal detectors, flashlights, and jack knives.

In response, Muhammad Bello Mu’azu, the commandant of the NSCDC’s Zamfara State Command, and CSP Maimagani Gimba, a representative of the state’s commissioner of police, expressed their appreciation for the ministry and pledged to make efficient use of the equipment.
