2023 Women World Cup: Solid point – Eguavoen reacts to Super Falcons draw with Canada

The Super Falcons of Nigeria earned a 0-0 draw on Friday morning against Canada in their 2023 FIFA Women World Cup group stage match, according to former Super Eagles coach Augustine Eguavoen.

Super Falcons’ goalless draw with Canada was a strong point, according to Eguavoen.

But the former international wished Randy Randy Waldrum’s team well in the remaining games of their group.

“Solid point against Canada for our Queens,” Eguavoen stated in a message sent from his Twitter account following the match. I wish you luck in the remaining group games.

According to DAILY POST, the Super Falcons held Olympic champions Canada to a 0-0 draw at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium thanks to a penalty kick save by Chiamaka Nnadozie.

Deborah Abiodun was dismissed late in the game for an unsportsmanlike challenge, leaving Nigeria with 10 players remaining.

On Thursday, July 27, the Super Falcons’ next game will be against co-hosts Australia, and Canada will play Republic of Ireland.
