David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, is a well-known Nigerian Afrobeat artist who has achieved enormous success with his most recent album, “Timeless.”
This comes after the singer’s record was hailed as the first Afrobeat album to spend eight straight weeks at the top of the Top 50 Nigerian music charts by a well-known streaming service, Turn Table Charts.
“@davido’s ‘Timeless’ spends an eighth consecutive week at No. 1 on the Official Top 50 Albums Chart in Nigeria,” Turn Table Charts wrote in its weekly release on Friday.
It is the first album to spend its opening two months atop the national albums list.
Davido just retweeted the achievements on his own social media platforms in response to the new marks.
