Five key talking points as BBNaija reunion commences

It has finally begun airing, the highly awaited BBNaija Level Up Reunion show.

The issues surrounding disclosures, confrontations, and tragedies are fascinating to the show.

The former housemates are anticipated to reconcile, heal ties, face their pasts, and settle disputes throughout the course of the show.

The reality show’s “Level Up” season in 2022 featured intense competition amongst the housemates, who were split between Level One and Level Two.

In no particular order, the sixth season’s housemates included Amaka, Beauty, Bryann, Christian, Cyph, Daniella, and Groovy.

Ilebaye, Kess, Khalid, Pharmsavi, Phyna, Adekunle Allysyn, Bella,Chichi, Chomzy, Diana, Dotun, Doyin, Eloswag, Giddyfia, Hermes, and Sheggz were more participants.

The edition’s winner, Phyna, received a N100 million grand prize as well as the title of winner.

The current BBNaija Reunion program aims to update fans on what has been happening with the reality TV stars.

The five talking points from this year’s Reunion show are as follows:

Triangles in love

The network of love interests in the house was one of the best parts of the level-up season. Housemates were involved with potential lovers in the opposing houses as a result of the addition of levels and different residences.

Due to rivalry and potential misunderstandings from their colleagues as they were instructed to hide certain secrets from housemates in other levels, some housemates were unable to fully pursue relationships with their preferred housemates in the other home.

This problem involved Doyin, a level 1 housemate, who liked Cyph (a level 2 housemate), and Phyna, who fell head over heels for Eloswag in the first week, but liked Chomzy, who was in his level and they frequently interacted.

Before Groovy and Phyna, there was the Groovy and Beauty ship.

Amaka also had feelings for Groovy, who admitted to once having feelings for Chomzy.

Unresolved disputes

The show’s viewers will learn whether the housemates have tried to settle previous disputes. Conflict dominated the level-up season, which resulted in Beauty’s exclusion.

As issues that grew out of control and caused tension in the house can be handled, the reunion may serve as a trigger for both resolution and fresh conflicts among the housemates.

Because it’s thought that not everything that happens in the house is presented to viewers, there can be new interpretations on what transpired.

For instance, the altercation between Amaka and Phyna, Groovy and Beauty, Adekunle, Sheggz, and Bella had multiple narrative strands.

Relationships gone bad and disclosures

As some roommates have been attacking each other on social media during the past month, it appears that certain relationships that were built in the home are no longer there. Former best friends have either blocked one another or threatened to reveal each other’s secrets.

Chichi seems to be the season’s enemy as well. The ex-lover and other opponents of the stripper appear to be Chomzy, Phyna, Rachael, and Deji.

Due to the fact that neither finalist speaks to the other, it’s possible that Phyna and Groovy’s relationship has hit a rough patch. The surprising secrets and behind-the-scenes tales that the housemates may have kept to themselves during and after the program will now be revealed to viewers.

Work and Personal Development

The 27 housemates will consider the objectives they established for their lives and careers at the start of the program. They will discuss how the program affected and influenced their life.

Some might talk about their struggles, accomplishments, and path since leaving the program. They will also talk on how the last year has affected their jobs, relationships, or personal growth.

The BBN Reunion show’s offensiveness

The former housemates view the reunion program as a place to frequently slander one another and frequently miss the opportunity to inform Nigerians about what they have been able to do outside the home.

Like what fans saw on Thursday night when Phyna was all over Chichi and made derogatory remarks about her, her deceased parents, and her dead child. On national television, body shaming and verbal abuse are frequent topics.

One could be tempted to wonder what sort of people get up on a reality show based on the behavior of the ex-housemates during the show.

Furthermore, because reunions are known for uncovering hidden motive, the majority of these ex-housemates who adopted numerous storylines in an effort to advance or even win the show are typically exposed at the Reunion program.

Others may attempt to rectify the viewers’ perception, while some will exploit the reunion to resolve personal differences.

Miss Amaka Ezeigwe, a sociological analyst based in Lagos, discussed the BBN Reunion shows with DAILY POST. She noted that while most people may not want to watch a dull show devoid of drama and conflicts, a line must always be drawn.

She says, “Just like seen during the proper show, these are people from all communities, ethnicities, and family origins living together in one house. You don’t anticipate their acting in the same manner.

“There would still be arguments even if they were from the same family. What matters right now is what the organizers display to the general audience. They are free to choose what to broadcast and what not to make available to the general audience.

“The players themselves should learn where the line is drawn, too. They ought to understand that one shouldn’t say things only to make a point and subsequently regret them.

I have no power over what they do or say, but I can only suggest that they work toward peace and settle their disputes because everyone depends on one another.
