Following the police response to the case, Bannon got a lawyer and during the divorce proceedings, Piccard also accused him of refusing to wed her until he confirmed that the babies she was carrying were “normal.” In addition, Mary alleged that Steve had made antisemitic comments about her own choice of school for their twin girls.

She claimed that he also threatened to “take the girls and leave,” referring to their daughters, who were still infants at that time. However, Steve Bannon pleaded not guilty to all the charges, and the case was later dismissed due to witness unavailability. Mary failed to show up in court to provide testimony against her ex-husband.
