Simisola Kosoko, also known as Simi, is a well-known musician who has said that her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication is not a “waste.”
According to DAILY POST, Simi graduated with a degree in mass communication from the esteemed Covenant University but set her diploma aside in favor of the microphone.
Simi has maintained that her degree “did not waste” even if she didn’t use the diploma or get a job with a media company.
Evidently inspired by the way Simi uses her music and social media to communicate, she boasted on Twitter, “At least my Mass Comm degree did not waste.”
Over the years, a variety of Nigerian performers who are also lawyers, doctors, and engineers have publicly admitted that they gave up their academic careers to follow their passions.
