Nicki Minaj sued for damaging borrowed jewelry
renowned TrinidadianA jewelry business is reportedly suing American musician Nicki Minaj for not paying for loaned personalized jewelry items that they claim she destroyed.
According to TMZ, Roseark, a high-end jewelry store in West Hollywood, filed a lawsuit against the rapper.
Brett Alan Nelson, Nicki’s stylist, is rumored to have made a deal with Roseark to borrow jewelry for a public appearance.
According to the contract, the stylist was expected to pay for any damage the jewels would sustain while in his care and return the goods within a week.
Roseark said that some of the items, including a pair of earrings and a leaf ring, had been harmed upon her return. And the stylist has received the invoices for the losses that were incurred.
The lawsuit was required since the alleged losses, which totaled $26,239.50 with interest, had not yet been compensated.
Roseark also alleged in the lawsuit that Brett did not deliver 66 pieces of jewelry on time.
However, a source close to Nicki refuted the claims and said that everything was delivered on schedule.
“No proof has been shown to us indicating that any of the jewelry in question was harmed by Nicki.
“This action appears to be nothing more than the jeweler’s standard insurance claim, filed to gain attention for itself and obtain a reimbursement it is not legally entitled to. We will zealously defend the lawsuit, the insider stated.
