Nigeria, South Africa beef, brotherly fight, family affair – Ice Prince

Nigeria, South Africa beef, brotherly fight, family affair – Ice Prince

Nigerian-born musician and performer Ice Prince Zamani has called the conflict between South Africans and Nigerians on social media a “family feud.”

The artist from Jos asserted that both countries only wanted what was best for one another.

In the most recent episode of the Afrobeats Podcast, which is hosted by British-Nigerian media personality Adesope Olajide, aka Shopsydoo, he made this claim.

“I think the rivalry between Nigerians and South Africans is just brotherly love,” Ice Prince added. You know how brothers constantly argue with one another in a family? I suppose that’s the case.

“We are biologically related. We are South Africans, Ghanaians, Kenyans, and Nigerians who share a common father and mother. You are an African if you are black. We are the same thing.

“So, I guess that’s what it is, the way brothers log heads in the family. It’s not really a problem. The desire of South Africans is for Nigerians to succeed. Nigerians desire improved South African performance. That must be the case. We are simply pushing ourselves as long as the beef doesn’t escalate to the point where it causes unpleasant things.

“And there haven’t been any huge fights so far. By the grace of God, there never will be. We are identical in every way.
