Suicidal attempt made me start comedy – Real Warri Pikin
Anita Alaire Afoke Asuoha, better known as Real Warri Pikin, is a well-known comedian who has admitted that her failed suicide attempt inspired her to start a crib-cracking business.
She claimed that she made the choice in an effort to inspire others who are dealing with comparable difficulties.
According to Real Warri Pikin, who spoke to DAILY POST, she had suicidal thoughts on many occasions between 2017 and 2018, all because of a debt she and her husband, Ikechukwu, owed.
The mother of three claimed that beginning comedy helped her recover from the trauma in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo.
“All the videos I make at that time, no be comedic to make people laugh o, na to inspire people say, Area!,” she claimed. Don’t worry if you have debts; the federal government does too. No, commit suicide. Take things gradually. Issues must arise.
“I believe those things aided in my healing, much like things I was supposed to tell [others] but kept to myself,” I never paid off the debt after that. I continue to cry while making a video.
“Perhaps God allowed me to go through what I did because [He wanted me to be here],” (sic)
According to Real Warri Pikin, she has been getting testimonials about how her inspirational speeches have prevented suicide in other people.
