Tinubu inauguration: If you dont have business there, stay away – Buhari aide warns
Before President-elect Bola Tinubu takes office on May 29, Bashir Ahmad, President Muhammadu Buhari’s Special Assistant on Digital Communication, has issued a stern warning.
In precisely one week, Tinubu is anticipated to take office as Nigeria’s new leader.
Ahmad warned anyone who had no business in the area of Eagle Square, where the inauguration will take place, to stay away.
His statement that this is a “strong warning from the security”
On Monday, he tweeted: “If you don’t have any business at or around Eagle Square on Monday, May 29th, STAY AWAY, a strong warning from the security.”
On March 1, Tinubu was announced the winner of the 2023 presidential election, beating out Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Since then, Atiku and Obi have both traveled to the election tribunal to contest the results and assert their right to office.
