There has been a wave of conflicted emotions following the launch.
The noticeable absence of some of the greatest performers in the past editions is one of the most significant sentiments trending on social media.
Only two previous champions from the six seasons (seasons 2-7) chosen for the All-Stars edition—Mercy Eke and Whitemoney, from seasons 4 and 6, respectively—are reportedly competing for the N120 million cash prize with the other 20 housemates.

While finalist Tobi Bakre may be the most sought-after action thriller actor in Nigeria, season winner Miracle is currently one of the top celebrity pilots in the nation. The 9th African Magic Viewers Choice Awards, or AMVCA, presented him with the Best Actor of the Year prize.

Giddyfia, a member of the Season 7 house, rejected the All-Stars edition, tweeting, “Affliction shall not rise the second time.”
