Tupac to be posthumously honoured with Hollywood Walk of Fame star

Tupac Amaru Shakur, better known by his stage name 2Pac, was a well-known American rapper who will be posthumously honored with a Hollywood Walk of Fame star.

The Walk of Fame announced on Wednesday that Tupac would receive his star in the recording category.

Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Ana Martinez, said of Tupac Shakur: “He was a poet, activist, actor, rapper, and revolutionary. Long after his death, this great artist remained in the zeitgeist, and he will continue to play a significant role in culture for many years to come.

Sekyiwa Shakur, the singer’s sister, will accept the star on the family’s behalf.

According to DAILY POST, Tupac was shot and died by gunfire in 1996.

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has awarded Diamond certification to two of his works: “All Eyez on Me” and his compilation of “Greatest Hits”.

Tupac is one of the most recognizable figures in hip-hop, and his legacy still has an effect on and influences popular culture today. His life has been used extensively for educational reasons in universities and schools around the world.
