Burna Boy, a Grammy-winning musician from Nigeria, has discussed the idea behind his upcoming seventh studio album, “I Told Them.”
On his Twitter profile, he claimed to have taken a journey down memory lane and found that he had previously tweeted about everything he is currently accomplishing. As a result, he named the album “I Told Them.”
This was revealed by Burna Boy in a recent interview with the American news source Complex.
The phrase “them” in the album’s title refers to anybody who has ever doubted me.
“I simply randomly went to my Twitter [profile] and started scrolling down to my previous tweets, which is how the name of this album came up. Strangely, I was curious about my very first tweet that I had sent out.
“And after that, it just led me down a rabbit hole where I’m going over everything I’ve ever said. I think, wow! It’s absurd. I genuinely said all of the things that are currently taking place. That inspired me to give my record, “I Told Them,” that name.
The album would be made available on August 25, 2023, a Friday.
The project will have a sequel, according to the singer, and it will be revealed later.
