Young artistes dont owe me recognition as legend – 2baba Idibia

Innocent Ujah Idibia, better known by his stage as 2Baba, is a seasoned musician from Nigeria who claims the younger generation of singers don’t due him honor as a veteran.

He stated that while it is not required of them to honor him in acknowledgement of his legendary status, he enjoys it when they do.

This was revealed by the singer of the song “African Queen” while she was a guest on the most recent episode of the Shopsydoo-hosted Afrobeats podcast.

Nobody owes me anything, he declared. My legendary status is real for me. It’s not going anywhere. If upcoming artists don’t acknowledge my legendary position, it doesn’t lessen who I am.

The one and only thing is that I value it when others acknowledge [my legendary status]. Nobody won’t find that appreciative. Although I love it when people acknowledge me, I don’t take it personally if they don’t. That individual is ignorant.

“Everyone who arrives will relate their own story, so nobody owes anybody anything. They won’t start by telling my own tale. Every new artist will use their motivation to advance themselves, whether it comes from me or anyone else. And those are their own tales.
