Neo Akpofure, nicknamed Neo Energy, a contestant on Big Brother Naija All Stars, asserted that Vee Iye, his ex-girlfriend, tried to convince him to accept her back nine months after they broke up.
According to DAILY POST, Neo and Vee were in a relationship during the Big Brother Naija “Lockdown” season, but things soured after the show.
Tuesday, Neo revealed Vee tried to revive their relationship but he wasn’t interested because she was still angry with his cousin, Venita. Neo spoke with fellow All Stars housemate Pere about this.
“The beef we [Vee and I] had was minor,” he claimed. I still don’t understand why there is beef because it seemed more like my ex wanted to…Since we last spoke nine months after our breakup, she was still talking about battling my cousin. I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but that was one of the reasons I couldn’t really give my former [Vee] a chance.
“And I’m like, ‘You can’t break up with me after nine months and try to get back while still telling me you’re harboring resentment toward my family,'” she continued. I won’t give you the idea to leave your family. And she was simply being rude.
“I just knew I had to speak up because who knows how far we might go; we might even get married and I don’t want to get married to you and It will feel like a situation where my family is not welcome in my house because you have some kinda like… You should encourage me to start a family, not break up the one I already have. I guess that’s all. I gave up on it.
