Big Meech Parents: What to Know About His Mom and Dad

Charles and Lucille Flenory are the parents of Big Meech, who is currently serving a 30-year sentence for his involvement in The Black Mafia Family, a highly organized drug empire he founded with his brother Terry, also known as Southwest T.

Big Meech was born on Friday, June 21, 1968, in Cleveland, Ohio, United States, to his parents Charles and Lucille. The parents who named him Demetrius Edward Flenory at birth never imagined that their son would grow up to become a drug kingpin. They have since distanced themselves from the organized crimes of their two sons.

Who Is Demetrius Big Meech’s Mother?

Lucille Flenory is the mother of both Big Meech and Southwest. She is a devout Christian who raised her children in the Christian way to the best of her knowledge, but her attempts to keep her sons on the path of righteousness failed.

She struggled with life challenges like paying bills and mortgage, as well as trying to keep her home in order. Lucille once kicked Big Meek out of the house for bringing a gun home. She also tried to get him to lead by example to help his little brother Terry emulate good traits from him.

Lucille Flenory is played by American actress Michole Briana White in the Starz original drama titled BMF, which chronicles the life of crime the Flenory brothers lived and how the long arm of the law caught up with them. Interestingly, the actress looks like Lucille, who has also said she enjoys White’s portrayal of her character in the TV series.

Who is Big Meech’s Dad?

Big Meech’s dad was named Charles Flenory, and he passed away in early July 2017. His name is the only information available in the public space about him. His age and when he met and married Big Meech’s father cannot be confirmed at this time.

Like his mother, Big Meech’s father also exonerated himself from the crimes committed by his sons. According to the information available, Charles played his role in giving proper parental guidance to his children. However, the family seems to have struggled financially when the kids were growing up, and this could have led the boys to go into a life of crime to be able to afford things on their own.

Charles and Lucille have a daughter named Nicole who is the younger sister of Big Meech and Terry, both of whom have become notorious for their criminal activities. On the Starz original crime drama BMF, Nicole Flenory, portrayed by Laila Pruitt, is a recurring character who plays a role in the story of her brothers’ criminal lives.

Demetrius and Terry Flenory, also known as “Big Meech” and “Southwest T,” respectively, are the sons of Charles and Lucille. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Big Meech was born on June 21, 1968, while his younger brother was born two years later on January 10, 1970. The brothers attended high school together but did not pursue further education as they became involved in criminal activities.

Black Mafia Family (BMF)

BMF was one of America’s most notorious drug and money-laundering organizations in the ’80s and the two Flenory brothers co-founded it. The Flenory brothers founded the Black Mafia Family in 1985 in Southwest Detroit as high school students.

They started by selling $50 bags of cocaine on the streets in their hometown before the organized crime blew up, and by the year 2000, they were selling many kilograms of cocaine across different states in the US. An investigation revealed they had over 500 members in the country.

A feud started between the brothers in 2003 led to their separation. Southwest moved to Los Angeles while Big Meech remained in Atlanta, which was their major distribution center. The years of crime came to a wrap in 2005 when the law caught up with them, and in 2007, the Flenory brothers pleaded guilty to charges brought against them for running a criminal organization. The Flenory brothers were sentenced to 30 years in prison for their crimes.

Demetrius Flenory is serving out his sentence at Federal Correctional Institution, Sheridan, and will be 61 by his official release date. Terry, on the other hand, got an early release on May 5, 2020, to home confinement. His release was based on a compassionate pardon due to health issues during the COVID-19 pandemic. Demetrius tried to appeal for his own release, but the appeal was not granted.

Meet Big Meech’s Son

Demetrius Flenory Jr. was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 22, 2000, as the only child of Big Meech and Latarra Eutsey. In honor of his father, he now goes by the name “Lil Meech” and has made a name for himself as a rapper and actor.
