On Sunday, the Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs published the names of 339 illustrious Nigerians who will receive national honors in 2023.
The list featured some entertainers. Both David Adeleke, better known as Davido, and renowned director Kunle Afolayan received the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
Victor Osimhen of the Super Eagles and Napoli made the list as well. The MFR (Member of The Order of Federal Republic) rank was awarded to the top scorer in Serie A.
The socialite Terry Waya, who is of Benue descent, was awarded a cadre in the OFR.
On June 1, 2023, the honorees will formally receive their medals and certificates.
According to DAILY POST, artists 2Baba, Burna Boy, and Teni received national honors from President Muhammadu Buhari last year.
