Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has detailed the altercation he had with Erling Haaland after their 3-0 victory over Burnley on Friday.
At Turf Moor, the Premier League champions kicked off the new season in impressive fashion thanks to Haaland’s two goals in the first half.
Guardiola, however, was spotted engaged in a contentious argument with the Norway striker as the two sides made their way to the locker rooms.
Guardiola explained what happened after the game.
He stated: “He wanted the ball behind him, but it can’t be behind him. Finding the proper moment sometimes requires patience.
“He wasn’t angry, and I’m not angry. It occurs in football. Be less theatrical.
