Governor Bello signs five bills into law

Five measures have been enacted into law by Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello.

In a statement, Governor Bello’s Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammad, praised him for signing the laws.

The bills allowed for the peaceful celebration of cultural festivals, established a road fund management board, established a health science and technology college, and provided for teachers’ retirement.

He claimed that the legislation’ goals were to control road construction in Kogi State, encourage cultural development, and uphold peace and security.

According to the statement, dignitaries including the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, the Attorney General, and the Secretary to the Kogi State Government were present at the signing ceremony, which was held at the Government House in Lokoja.

The measures’ significance in enhancing rural infrastructure and affecting state residents’ lives was stressed by Governor Bello.

He praised the state attorney general for making sure that the law was followed and complimented the Kogi State House of Assembly for its performance.

The legislation were passed and signed into law, and the Speaker of the Kogi House of Assembly, Mr. Mathew Kolawole, expressed his happiness over this development. He also commended Governor Bello for encouraging a cordial working relationship between the government and the legislature and for creating a calm environment.

The Governor’s dedication to passing those legislation as a demonstration of his commitment to the growth and advancement of Kogi State was also praised by the Speaker.
