Hajj 2023: Be good ambassadors of Osun – Adeleke charges pilgrims
Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, has asked those who plan to travel to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2023 for a holy pilgrimage to pray for Nigeria’s economic recovery and against insecurity in Osun State.
Additionally, Governor Adeleke noted that everyone in Nigeria needed to pray and work together to address the country’s economic difficulties and security issues.
The 1,835 aspiring pilgrims were the subject of Adeleke’s speech during a goodbye event held at the State Secretariat Mosque Complex in Abere.
Adeleke, who was accompanied by Teslim Igbalaye, the Secretary to the State Government, expressed appreciation for the management of the Osun State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board for making the arrangements up to this point.
I ask the All-Powerful Allah to grant you a triumphant ending to your endeavors, he said.
The state administration will not accept any mistakes during the Hajj operation, he also reminded the pilgrims.
In addition to being grateful to Allah for permitting this record to be established under his leadership, he added, “I am also grateful to Allah on behalf of you, our valued pilgrims, for considering you deserving of taking part in this year’s Hajj operation despite the huge increase in expense.
“I ask Allah to continue filling your pockets with wealth and to accept your Hajj as an act of worship.”
The Osun State Government has taken all necessary steps to ensure that this activity is unforgettable for you, both onshore and offshore, according to Adeleke, who described the level of preparedness for the pilgrimage.
“I am aware that you have received the required immunizations and that plans have been arranged for your easy transit to the Hajj Terminal at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja.
In an effort to make your stay in Saudi Arabia comfortable, the State Government has also booked lodging in Makkah that is extremely close to the Ground Mosque.
Additionally, sufficient efforts have been taken to guarantee that you have top-notch meals throughout your stay in Makkah.
Adeleke praised the intending Pilgrims for setting off on their journey and wished them everyone a safe return to their homes.
Sheik Morufu Ishola, the Amirul-Hajj of Osun State, praised Governor Adeleke in his speech for the assistance provided to the Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
All pilgrims were admonished by Sheikh Ishola to follow the rules laid down for them while at the Holy Land.
