I almost died before my music blew up – Rapper, Odumodublvck
Rising Nigerian hip-hop artist Tochukwu Ojogwu, also known as Odumodublvck, has described how God revealed to him that he will become a star through Grammy Award-winning musician Wizkid.
The singer of “Declan Rice” said that in 2022, soon after being released from the hospital following severe surgery, friends contacted to let him know that Wizkid had co-signed his song “Picanto,” which featured Zlatan Ibile.
He said that Wizkid posting about his music on social media was a message from God for him to be successful.
On the most recent edition of the Body & Soul podcast, which is hosted by musician Joeboy, Odumodublvck made this revelation.
You can hear how I’m saying, he said. It’s not because of these dental grills; rather, it’s because of a surgery I had. God saved my life just in time for me to be here. Everything that followed was predictable, especially since God had saved me.
“Ask my boys, I spent two weeks eating baby food. In addition to that, my mouth needed sixteen stitches, bro. I was getting released from the hospital on the day Wizkid posted my material.
“When I woke up in the morning, I received a message and saw Machala at 7 am…And when I checked my Instagram, I saw that Wizkid had uploaded “Picanto,” as everyone was telling me. And that was sort of God’s way of saying, “Yo, I’m with you; everything that is going to be happening from here on out will be more than what eyes have seen and ears have heard.”
