Nollywood actress Iniobong Edo has admitted that she looks back on her wedding day with regret.
Ini Edo and American-born businessman Philip Ehiagwina wed on November 29, 2008, according to DAILY POST.
Five years into their union, they eventually decided to call it quits in 2013.
The actress stated during a recent interview with well-known media personality Chude Jideonwo that “family pressure” was the main reason she got married in the first place.
“I regretted my choice to get married because it wasn’t just the right thing to do,” she stated.
But the actress promised to marry again “if the right person comes.”
Ini Edo said why she made the decision to have her child through surrogacy: “I chose surrogacy because I suffered a couple of losses. And I simply gave up trying.
“I’ve never had a husband. So, whether or not I have a husband, I’m like, I want a kid for me. What additional choices would I then have? And I wanted that child to be my own. my hens. Fortunately, my eggs are fresh. That’s what I did.
Ini Edo announced the birth of her first child, a girl, via surrogacy in 2021.
