Veteran Nollywood performer Stella Damasus attributed her “biggest mistake” in life to religion.
She claimed that a church where she had once participated in the choir once put pressure on her to wed her best friend, the choir director.
Thespian emphasized that while as friends they were great, as a couple they didn’t work and that they weren’t supposed to be married.
She revealed this in a recent conversation with well-known media figure Teju Babyface.
“I married someone else before him [my ex-husband], Damasus stated. It wasn’t successful. Nobody could hear me speak. I avoided discussing it. That was silently over.
It was eight months long. The biggest error of my life, yet he was a great guy. He was, nonetheless, my best friend. And religion is to blame for the issue that led to our getting married when we weren’t meant to. He was a great buddy of mine, so we were expected to get along well. However, we didn’t work as a married pair. We simply screwed it up. We were aware of it.
We decided to leave things alone when we parted ways since we loved and respected each other. We simply leave it without discussing it so that at least we can still say hello and ask how you’re doing. Good or bad?
