Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, a seasoned Nigerian actress better known by her stage as Omosexy, asserts that Nollywood popularized Nigerian entertainment before Afrobeats.
Omotola revealed it in a post on her Instagram page on Thursday as she remembered her influence on Nollywood and the world before social media was invented.
She also showed some of her business peers the vintage film footage as evidence of her promotion of Nollywood prior to the development of afrobeats.
Omotola said someone sent her the movies, which featured Rita Dominic, Genevieve Nnaji, and Stella Damasus, and it was nostalgic.
