Twitter restricts unverified users from reading above 300 posts per day
Twitter, a microblogging platform, has criticized limitations on users’ daily post readings as a way to prevent data mining and system abuse.
Elon Musk, the platform’s executive chairman, made this announcement on Saturday via his Twitter account.
The limitations, he claimed, are only in place temporarily.
The new policy limits the daily reading limits for confirmed accounts to 6,000 posts, unverified accounts to 600 posts, and new unverified accounts to 300 posts.
Musk’s announcement drew criticism, with many accusing the limits of being a scheme to get more users to sign up for the Twitter blue badge.
According to DAILY POST, Elon Musk, the new owner of Twitter, received harsh criticism last year for introducing a new subscription plan that cost $7.99 per month.
