Given that she was reported to have had cancer, Vicente Fernández’s mother almost had the same ending as his father. She fought cancer for a while before it eventually took her life; no further information was ever provided as to the specific sort of cancer she had.

Other stories said Paula Gómez De Fernández passed away from ovarian cancer, even though the official cause of death was only listed as cancer. Since the family has kept that a secret, there is no way to verify whether this is accurate.
