Controversial Darlington Okoye, also known as Speed Darlington, a Nigerian hip-hop singer, has explained why he isn’t able to maintain monogamy.
When dating or married to just one lady, he claimed, males are frequently faced with temptations.
This was said by the American rapper on the most recent edition of the Husband Material, Deity Cole, actor Nedu, and co-hosts Husband Material podcast, The Honest Bunch.
Speed Darlington stressed that polygamy is foreign to African culture and expressed his hope that his future spouse will be amenable to it.
Men shouldn’t be with just one lady, he suggested. With one, there is so much temptation. There is a lot of temptation.
“We wear clothing and create things to make our lives easier because we believe we are wiser than other animals. Consequently, we assume that we are mentally sharper. We are compelled to adhere to the one woman rule.
“Africa, and the entire black race, we are not the race of one woman.”
