Ikpeazu spokesman, Ememanka applauds Abia journalists
The Governor of Abia State’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Onyebuchi Ememanka, has expressed gratitude to the press for their cordial working relationship over the past four years while he served in that capacity.
On Friday, he addressed the Government House Press Corps for his farewell speech.
The eight-year term of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in Abia State is about to end, and on May 29, 2023, a new democratically elected administration headed by Dr. Alex Otti will take office.
Mr. Ememanka has already stated that the press corps is essential to the success of any chief press secretary to a state governor.
He stated, “Without the tremendous backing and assistance of the press corps, I simply could not have become the longest-serving CPS in Abia State history.
I returned today to express my sincere gratitude to each and every one of them.
“Personal taste is at play here. Everywhere I’ve worked, I’ve done this. A little world exists.
“These gentlemen and ladies have been a part of my life for four years. Together, we’ve accomplished tasks and handled pressure.
“This unit belongs to the category of units whose work is not time-limited. Even at the most strange hours, they work.
Ememanka also urged the media to work more closely with his successor for the benefit of the nation.
“I’ve done what I could. Let history and future generations decide,” he continued.
