Innocent Idibia, a.k.a. 2Face or 2baba, a prominent Nigerian musician, has explained why he constructed a multi-million naira music studio at the Obafemi Awolowo University, or OAU, in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
The musician revealed that he created the studio to repay the kindness shown to him by the university during a breakfast discussion hosted by The 2baba Foundation in Lagos State.
He declared: “I created the multi-million [naira] music studio at OAU since I was awarded an honorary degree as a Fellow of the university’s School of Music.
That was a tremendous honor for me, and I made good on my pledge to them to construct a professional music studio for the school.
“I hope that by providing students with a regular area for creation, the next generation of superstars will emerge. Additionally, that studio will package my subsequent album.
